You are not alone

"You are not alone on this journey. Your Heavenly Father knows you. Even when no one else hears you, He hears you. When you rejoice in righteousness, He rejoices with you. When you are beset with trial, He grieves with you...He sees you not as the world sees you; He sees who you really are. He looks on your heart. And He loves you, because you are His child...seek Him earnestly, and you will find Him" -Pres Uchtdorf

The Book of Mormon will change your life

This week has just been the usual Gong Show like the last 22 months especially the last 2 weeks! Being in a tri has been a lot of fun and Elder Flood and Elder Evans have been great but sadly the tri was disbanded today because Elder Evans is going up to Sydney to replace an Elder who is going home a week early for school so it is just Elder Flood and I covering two areas so this week should be interesting but finally next week I should have another companion and hopefully I will still be here in Victoria.
We has a really good week! We saw James on Saturday and we taught him about the Word of Wisdom and we were a little worried because he smokes but we taught him it and asked if it would be problem and he said no and that he has quit before but just needed some motivation to quit again and when he came to church the next day he told us that he hadnt smoked any! It was such a miracle and he is so prepared!
We also saw Ryan and he has been doing good. He set his own date for him to be baptized and it will be sometime in September. He is so close and so ready so we are really focusing on helping motivate him so that he can quit but he is really working hard and he has been doing really good on everything else especially on reading the Book of Mormon.
There has been a lot of stuff that happened this week that I forgot about until just now so as a mission we are reading the Book of Mormon and it has only been two days but it has been Awesome! I have been able to get something out of every time we read and I did not know how fun it would be but I realized that I actually really like reading the Book of Mormon. I would invite everyone who reads this regardless of  if you have read it 100 times or never to start and see how the Book of Mormon will change your life because I can promise it will because it has for me. Also another really awesome thing that happened is that we had a special John Bytheway fireside on Thursday and it was Amazing! He just talked about the Book of Mormon and it was so cool and it got me even more excited to start reading the Book of Mormon again and since we have started I have remembered how powerful it is and how much I enjoyed reading it at the beginning of my mission!

Will, John Byetheway, Elder Flood, Elder Evans

Okay so here is the last random story for today so on Friday Elder Evans and I where tracting in an area and our appointments fell through and we were not sure what to do so we decided to stay for a bit in the area and nothing was happening so we started to leave when a mom and her 4 kids walked by so we started to talk to her and taught her a little bit about the restoration and asked if we could come back and she told us to come back on  so we did a couple days later but when we got there her husband was working so we told her we would not be able to teach them but that we had some sisters in the area that could so we called them and them come over to teach this family so while we where waiting we entertained the kids by playing some baseball, which I am always in the mood for, and it was so fun it was only 10 minutes but they were really cool! They are from Ethiopia and apparently baseball is pretty big there so to wrap it up the sisters where able to teach them and they had a really good lesson so that was really cool!
I know that this email has been all over the place but that has pretty much what this week has been so I guess it works!

I am kind of sad to say good bye to Kelowna especially since I have only been here for 7 weeks. It has been great here and even though its getting warm I have really loved it!

Well this week has been crazy mostly with what has happened the last few days. Saturday was transfer call day and Elder Frye and I went through the whole day with out getting a call and we even finished nightly planning at 9:30 and still had not gotten a call and while we were talking about how we thought that we where going to stay and that it was too late to get a call but while we were talking we got a call from the Assistants and they told Elder Frye that he was staying and his new companion was Elder Kohl and that I was getting transferred to Victoria 1st ward and my new companion is Elder Ringheim and I will be the District Leader there. Elder Ringheim is from Denmark and has been out for 3 months.
So that was pretty crazy especially since I have only been here for 1 transfer. Most of the members thought that if anyone left is would be Elder Frye so everyone was pretty surprised to hear that I was leaving. It should be nice because Kelowna has been getting pretty warm, not as warm as Mesquite but still warm and it's not the funnest to walk all day in but I have heard that Victoria is really nice because it is on Vancouver Island and is right next to the ocean that it is way cooler than the Oakanagan so it should be nice!
This week we have been doing a lot of less active work, actually since I got to Kelowna we have been doing a lot of less active work. We have been meeting with a lady named Donna and she has been coming to church consistently for the last little while like 4 months but has been struggling with some addictions but she has been clean for almost 2 months and had a relaps two weeks ago with smoking but it has been almost a week and a half now since that and she is doing really good! She has been preparing to go do Baptisms for the dead at the end of April and she is going to take out her endowments in June! We are also seeing Lilian who was baptized a week before I got here and she has been doing really well except she tore her ACL while at work at the hospital so besides that she is doing really well. I am kind of sad to say good bye to Kelowna especially since I have only been here for 7 weeks. It has been great here and even though its getting warm I have really loved it!
This week I have really been studying about Christ and his life and while I was studying this morning I was looking up examples of His humility and it took me to when he was suffering the Atonement and he did the will of the Father and later on I came to the story of when Christ fasted for 40 days and 40 nights and then was tempted by Satan and not only did Christ never forget which way he faced in not succumbing to the temptation of Satan but after it says in the bible how angels came and ministered unto him but in the JST it says that Christ knowing that John was cast into prison sent angels to minister unto him. So even in one of his weakest moments he was thinking of others and always helping others. Humility is not thinking about your self less but less about your self and that is exactly what Christ did his whole life even in times when all of us would have turned inward he always turned outward to help others! Christ is a pretty good example to us all obviously! One thing I have been trying to do is study the life of Christ more to help me and it has been really cool! Well, I gotta go and get ready to leave!

And the miracles keep coming

Sorry that I did not send an email last week. I wrote it but I actually never sent it so I am just going to write this one.
So this week was great! We have seen a lot of success this week. We were finally able to see a part member family that we are working with, the Swensons, this week and had a really good lesson about the Plan of Salvation and what was even more of a miracle was their son Calvin was very calm through the whole lesson and we were able to teach everything that we wanted and the spirit was so strong and it was awesome then we were supposed to see them later that week but when we went by Ron, the father, was not there so we just talked to Jeanie, who is the member, and we invited them to a primary activity on Saturday and to church on Sunday but they were not able to make it to the activity and we where waiting for them at church but they were not there when it started so we went and sat down but 20 minutes into the meeting they showed up and it was a miracle because we had a Multi stake Conference yesterday so church started an hour earlier than normal so they did not know but luckily a member who lives in the basement went up and asked if they knew so they were able to make it so it was pretty much a miracle!
We were also able to meet a bunch our other investigators and had some really good lessons we even had our investigator Luyi sing in the choir for the ward. We did not have much else happen this week but it was really good!

I Love Abbotsford!

This week was so great! We were able to see most of our investigators and were also able to find a few new ones.
We were able to see most of our investigators this week. We were able to see Luyi who is a home stay student and is staying with one of the families in our ward. We taught him about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it was really good. He asked a lot of questions about baptism and the need of authority and it went really well. He is really thinking about baptism right now but he wants to make sure that is what he should do so we will continue to teach him and to help him build his faith.
We also got to see Gord who is doing really good. We were able to find a good member who was able to connect with him and we had a really good lesson about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and he committed to come to church and He came! We have been trying to get him to church all transfer and he came with his two kids and it was great! The kids really enjoyed primary and he really enjoyed church and finally started to read the Book of Mormon too. So he is doing really great! We have seen some good progress from the last couple weeks from him.
We have also been able to find some really cool people recently and we were able to see one of them last night after our specialized training. His name is Joel and he was really interested in the Book of Mormon so we were able to teach him about the Book of Mormon last night and it was really good. He really wants to change his life around and is trying to forgive himself for things that he has done in the past so we are helping him know how to do that.
We have seen a lot of success this last week and have been able to see a lot of people and to teach a ton! I Love Abbotsford and I am really glad that I got sent back here and got to spend some more time here. Hopefully I don't get sent somewhere else in a couple weeks when transfer comes again.

Yeah, it snows a lot here in Canada
Well not too much else to report except it snowed here again! not much stayed and it is mostly slush now but it did stay for a little bit so I did get some snow in my last Christmas in Canada. Well I gotta go!

The Biggest Convert on Your Mission is Yourself

Well this week has been really crazy! We have still have been doing a lot of finding recently. One of the Sister missionaries in our ward had to go home because she was really sick and so the other Sister is with some sisters in another ward in Langley but they are covering both areas right now so they asked us if we could start seeing one of their investigators named Barry and he is really cool! He is preparing to be baptized on December 6th and when we were talking to him he told us how much he loved coming to church and the people there and how that was one of the things that he looked forward to the most during the week! It was really to be able to see him and to see how much it has changed his life.
Before I came up here to BC I did not know how much the Gospel could change peoples lives or how a part of my life it was until I came here and started teaching people who did not have it in their life and seeing it become apart of their life and how much it changed them. I am really grateful for this Gospel and that I was able to come on a mission to really learn what this Gospel is about and how important it is. A great example is I did not know that the spirit could help you in school or that the Atonement not only helps us be forgiven for sins but that it is there to help us in hard times that are not caused by sin or to help us with things that we think are hard like talking to random people. They say that the biggest convert on your mission is your self and thats true. I have been able to learn so much and I have been able to grow my testimony.

 Well I have to go,

{11/11/15} The Spirit is What Testifies of Truth

This week has been a ton better than the last! We were able to teach a lot more this week. We found a lot more people to teach this week and were able to contact some people that used to be taught by missionaries in the past.
We actually went by a guy named Nick and the Elders in the past because he was really hard to contact but we went by and caught him home. We went in and started to talk to him and he told us how crazy his life has been and he actually asked us if we think going to church and reading the scriptures could help change his life for the better and we where shocked because no one ever asks us thoses types of questions and so we jumped on it and taught about how those things are ment to bring joy to our lives and how following the example of Jesus Christ and keeping his commandments helps us find the most joy in this life. We taught him the Restoration and about baptism and he told us how he feels like he needs to be baptized so we set a date for him to be baptized on December 13th. It was so cool to see how ready to hear the message we share and how he has been prepared to accept it now.
We also found 3 new investigators that are all from Central America. This week I really wished that I had taken that spanish class in high school more seriously because they all spoke english but not that great. One of the people we taught is Sabas, and he is from Mexico and he is up here for work. He comes up here every year for 6 months to work on a farm and we went out to where he lives and he lives in what looks like a group home but its just for all the workers on the farm and so we taught him the restoration and he was really attentive and I dont think he understood everything but he told us that next year when he comes back to BC he wants to come to our church and he wanted a book of mormon so he asked if we had one in spanish and so we are going to take one to him before he leaves back to mexico. We will probably not see him get baptized but the spirit in that lesson was really strong and he seemed really intersted like the he felt the spirit in the lesson and it was so cool. If only we spoke spanish. At least the spirit is universal!
This week I have learned a lot about how important is to have the spirit in lessons and to always feel the spirit in our lives because it is how we stay strong in the gospel because the spirit is what testifies of truth and it is how we can and always will know that this Gospel is true and that this is the Church of Jesus Christ on the Earth today.

Mastering the Public Transit System

Well this week has been a mess! Pretty much all of the people that we are teaching went MIA and we were not able to contact any of them. So, we have been doing a lot of finding to get new people to teach. We spent sometime this week calling through people that previous missionaries  had already talked to and the people gave their number. So we have been calling through  them and have been able to set up quite a few appointments so hopefully this week goes better.
Something that happened this last week that I didn't get to tell you was, to start off we are not allowed to drive our car on Saturday so on Saturday the 24th we decided to take a bus up to the church to go to the trunk or treat that they were having and it was quite an experience because I have never really taken public transit and Elder Harris is from Vernal Utah and started his mission in a little town called Smithers so neither of us knew how to use a bus. So we got on after finding the right bus and we were heading up to the church but we didnt know that you need to pull a cord to tell the driver that you want to get off at the next stop so we were waiting for our stop and when we were about to get there the bus just drove by and we ended up getting off at a stop 8 blocks away from the church and had to walk all the way there in the dark on a road that had no side walks; so needless to say that was an experience. But we redeemed ourselves this week when we successfully used the transit system to get to our dinner appointment this last Saturday. So we are pretty much experts at it now.
Not too much has happened this week because we have been doing a lot of finding. Oh, but one very unique experience we had on Friday was that we were teaching one of our investigators who lives in an assisted living home because he is paralyzed on his left side. So we where teaching him in a little common area when all the sudden some JW's come and start talking to us and one of them was an old lady and she called us the "devils that call ourselves saints". Elder Harris and I we so dumb founded that we did not know what to do so we said a prayer with him and left because they totally just killed the spirit that was in that lesson. It was crazy. I have never had that happen to me before.
Anyways I have to go and I am going to say sorry right now because this computer does not have spell check so I don't know how many things I spelled wrong.

Another crazy week in Brookswood

Well we have had another Crazy Week! After Ken got Baptized our teaching pool went down after we reflected some people and some people said they did not want to meet anymore. So we did a ton of finding this week and we actually got 2 new really cool people to teach. One of them was a referral from a member and his name is Ray. He is an ex Jehovah witness and we are not sure why he is not a JW anymore but what really matters is that he wants to learn more about the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints so that is really awesome and he really wants to read the Book of Mormon and he actually has some roommates who are interested in Mormons too and would like to learn more so it looks like the spirit is a real thing and that it does really work on people and the God does really prepare his children, who would've guessed?!

The other new person that we are teaching is Mike. He was given our number by some previous missionaries in Brookswood and he gave us a call a few weeks ago and we finally got to meet him last night and it was so cool. We honestly thought he was not going to be that interested and be one of those people that likes to argue and we were dead wrong. It was such a great lesson and he told us how a lot of things have gone bad in his life recently and how he is really trying to put his life back together and really wants to grow closer to God and it was a super good lesson and we talked a lot about the things that Christ has done for us and how the Gospel and the message we share is meant to bring joy to our lives and we invited him to be baptized and he accepted it!! It was so awesome and the spirit was so strong!

So this week has been a little harder because we have not been able to do as much teaching, but meeting these two new friends it was all worth it and we are so glad the God has prepared people to accept the message of the restoration and to feel the Joy and happiness that comes from this gospel.

In knowing that, this should not be a side note but Ken was confirmed yesterday and it was great. After the confirmation he had a huge smile on his face and was just really happy! It was great and Ken is even cooler because he loves baseball and he always tells me what is going on with the post season so I guess we are pretty good friends.

Oh and we got transfer calls and I am staying in Brookswood and Elder Mattingley is going to Powell River and my new Companion is Elder Harris and he has been out for 3 months. Well I gotta go so see ya!

The spirit makes missionary work so much easier

This week has not really gone like we planned but it has been great! I want to start off with something that happened a few weeks ago when we had to go to the mission office. So on our way back we went to one of the only Krispy Kreme's in Canada and the only one in BC! It was so awesome and it was an amazing experience!

This week we were able to see Leaf and we took the Bishop to one of our lessons and it was awesome! We taught him about the restoration and he seems to really be soaking it up and he has been reading the Book of Mormon regularly so its only a matter of time that the spirit gets him and converts him. I love the spirit. It makes missionary work so much easier because it is the one that converts them. He was going to come to church yesterday but he got stuck in traffic and was going to be like 25 minutes late and he told us that he got frustrated and went home. So sometimes you just want to drop kick satan because he just pulls the lowest things to stop people.

Ken is doing awesome! He came to church again and really enjoyed it and we moved his baptism to October 11th because of Conference but he has really been progressing and it looks like he is going to make his date. We had a really good lesson with him and we taught him the word of wisdom and found out that he has already cut out alcohol and coffee over the last year! It was really cool to see how he had been prepared by the Lord.

I am almost out of time but I need to tell you one more thing. So we went to McDonalds on Thursday and Elder ordered a McDeca which has 10 patties on a McDouble. I know, I didn't think it was possible but it is and its not a rumor or a legend but it's reality!!

 Well, I have to go.

"Even if ye can no more than desire to believe, let this desire work in you" -Alma 32

Well, this week has been crazy busy! We have been teaching a lot more the last couple of weeks, which is awesome because I like teaching a lot more than anything else. It has been a really good week because we have been able to help a lot of our investigators progress and slowly change their lives; so it has been really awesome!
One thing that I have learned on my mission that really came to me this morning is how little I knew when I came out and how I had a pretty good testimony of a few things but just never really gained a strong testimony of a lot of things or studied the Gospel that much. Because of that I have really seen how real and true Alma 32:27-28 are. Just having that desire to believe, to have a testimony will grow and has help to gain of a lot of things and I still have a long way to go but learning the gospel and teaching the gospel has helped me a lot. I am so glad that I came on a mission and that I did not go home like I thought about on my first day in the field because I thought it was hard, which, it's hard but most things that are right are not easy. I have learned so much, especially about doubting doubts before doubting faith. I have ran into and talked to a lot of people who have told me that the church is a lie and false and that Joseph Smith is a liar and the Book of Mormon was written by the devil and people have even showed me anti to try to prove to me that the church is false. I am sure that most members have gone through this a few times, I have learned that I do not know everything but neither do the people that tell us these things. I only know of one person that does and that is our Father in Heaven and conveniently we can always ask him questions and he will help us answer them. Isn't that pretty sweet! What is even cooler is that he doesn't answer just some people but everyone! He loves us all and desperately wants to hear from us all no matter what we feel like or what we have done. His love is unconditional, we are never unworthy to pray or to receive answers.
Enough about me ranting. We were able to see one of our newer investigators, Ken, and talked to him a lot about baptism and priesthood Authority and he accepted an invitation to be baptized on October 4th! He is very cool and really wants to learn and find out for him self so hopefully we can continue to help him to be ready for that day. We were also able to see Sheila and go help her at her farm which was pretty sweet and she gave us a bunch of food! Which was awesome! She is so close to getting baptized too and she should be baptized within this transfer. Oh, I forgot to tell you I am staying in Brookswood with Elder Mattingley until the end of October at least.
Well, I have to go. We got our email time cut a half an hour because the library is really busy so I'll talk to you next week and send you some pics of the border...Yeah the US and Canada border because our area goes all way to the border and we went to a member's house who live like a mile from the border so we went and took pictures and saw freedom!

The Book of Mormon is so powerful and I have seen how it can change peoples lives

Well this week was really good and very interesting, just like every other week in Surrey. We have been able to talk to a lot of people and we were able to see Sonny a few times this week and he has been reading the Book of Mormon and has had a lot of questions about it and about our beliefs. It was really good and he told us how he really likes to visit with us and how it really gives him a spiritual boost when we meet with him. He called us last night and told us some of the insights that he had while reading the Book of Mormon and studying the Plan of Salvation that we taught him yesterday and he told us how he was really grateful that we came and visited with him and are helping him come closer to God and to not give up on him. It was so cool to see how he has changed from the things that we have taught him and how grateful he is for it. The thing that really helped him was the Book of Mormon. When we first were meeting with him he was smoking and drinking but when we gave him the book of Mormon and he started reading & he has changed. He has not drank and he is working on quitting smoking.

The Book of Mormon is so powerful and I have seen how it can change peoples lives and really does help everyone grow closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon also helps us overcome other things that we face in life like addiction and just trials that hit us in life with no fault of our own. How it does that is it helps us understand the Atonement of Jesus Christ better to know how we can overcome anything in this life and that is through Jesus Christ. Ultimately that is what the Book of Mormon is for, to testify of Christ and to help us gain a testimony of him and to also help us know that Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God.

We also got to see Gus this week and we watched the movie On the Lords Errand. It's about Thomas S Monson and his life; because Gus wanted to know more about the current Prophet. The movie is so awesome and powerful. It shows how great of an example President Monson is of someone who devotes his life to the Lord. I love watching it because when I watch it the spirit testifies to me that Thomas S Monson is a Prophet of God and a follower of Christ. I am so grateful to be apart of this church and to have this Gospel in my life  and for the Book of Mormon and how it has changed me and helps me to become the Disciple that God needs and wants me to be.

{June 15} We never know who is being prepared by the Lord

This week has been amazing and full of miracles! We went by a potential that the Delta Elders gave us named Kamal and Shivem and we went and taught them Lesson 3. They are so awesome! We asked Kamal is she knew what repentance was and she explained it perfectly and she told us how she asks for forgiveness everyday and it was so awesome and she also told us how she always wanted to get baptized since she became a Christian but it never worked out so when we invited her and her son Shivem to be baptized they were so excited and told us that they would mark it on their calendar and it was something that they really wanted to do. It was awesome to see that people are prepared and all we need to do is find them and give them the opportunity to accept the gospel. That is what we did, we just taught and they felt the spirit.

We have still been meeting with Janet and she has been doing really good and is really close. She still has a few small issues with the hierarchy of the church so we have been going over the lessons and talking a lot about prophets and authority to help her understand how it works. So she is progressing slowly but we are slowly resolving her concerns. She is very close to baptism, she told us she was 97% sure that she would be baptized so we have been learning patience because she is ready and we are just waiting for her to say that she is ready.

Another really awesome thing that happened was we texted a guy we met a few weeks ago and set up a lesson with him for the YSA elders, because he is YSA age, and we assumed that he would not be that interested and would meet up once and tell them he was not interested but they texted us and told us how awesome he was and that he has a baptismal date. Which blew Elder Bonfield and my minds. It was defiantly a humbling experience and showed us that we never know who is being prepared by the Lord

So this week has been amazing but its kind of sad because the transfer ends next Wednesday and calls are on Sunday but I guess time flies when you don’t really care about time or what day it is because its all the same.

Garry gets baptized!!

Well this week was pretty good I guess. Just a typical normal week except for on Saturday when Garry GOT BAPTIZED!! If you don't remember Garry he is someone that Elder Boehmer and I worked with a lot to help him and when I left we set a date for June 6th and just before I left he had quit smoking. I was able to go to the Baptism with Elder Samis, who is serving in the same ward as me and he found Garry when he was serving in Clearbrook. So just on that this week is a pretty amazing week. It was also really good to see Elder Kelly and Elder Boehmer.

Elder Samis, Elder Kelly (Will's 1st companion & trainer), Garry, Elder Boehmer (Will's last companion who just happens to have the same birthday as Will) and Will
Besides that this week has been really good. We were able to teach a lot more lessons. One of our investigators, Janet, finished reading  the Book of Mormon on Saturday and she told us that she is 96% sure that she wants to be baptized! Which is pretty awesome. She just has a concern that she doesn't understand why bad things happen to people if God is a loving merciful God. She has come a long way from when she first sat down with the missionaries because at first she didn't even believe in God and now she is really close to baptism. We also saw Gus this week who is an investigator that we have been team teaching over the last few weeks and he is really awesome. He has a baptismal date for June 28th and loves coming to church and knows the Church is true but just needs to quit smoking and he can be baptized at anytime. We have some really awesome people that we are teaching right now that have been prepared and are growing in the Gospel.
Surrey has been really awesome and has really been something that I needed to help me get out of my shell and my comfort zone and to really rely on the Lord and trust that He will help me. That is when we are most successful as missionaries, when we are completely relying on the Lord and trusting that if we do what He has asked us to do that we will help our brothers and sisters to find the Gospel to come unto Christ. Sorry for not emailing last week I just forgot to and didn't remember until last Tuesday so sorry. Well I hope your week has been as great as mine!

There are souls out there searching for the gospel...we need to be ready to share it

Well this week has been really interesting but really just a typical week in Surrey. On Monday we ended p-day early because we couldn't email because it was Victoria Day and everything was closed so we went to a barbecue that a member was having so we went to eat some food and see Elder Bonfield's recent convert Roko, who is really cool and is Fijian and is crazy smart and knows a ton about the gospel even though he has only been a member for 3 months. So, that was really cool and the member who was having the barbecue is also Fijian and Fijians love to eat and so we got stuffed so that was awesome until we realized that we had to go out and work for another 2 hours.
One of the coolest things that happened was while I was on exchanges with Elder Green, our zone leader, we were at a bus loop and I started to talk to a lady named Preety and she was really interested in what we believed so I asked her when we could meet again to share more of our message and she said, "right now", so we taught her the restoration at the bus loop and she agreed with everything and believed that there could be a prophet on the earth today, which is awesome because usually people get hung up on that. That just showed me that there are people being prepared by the Lord and that we just need to talk to them. Because they are just waiting for the gospel and are seeking it.
That is one of the biggest things that has surprised me since I have been on a mission is how many people are looking for the gospel intentionally or unintentionally. I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to serve the Lord for the past 7 months, which doesn't feel like 7 months at all, and to learn and grow in the gospel and to go through all the trials and challenges that I have faced on my mission and throughout my life because they are what have helped me know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and that The Atonement is real and so is the Plan of Happiness. The way to feel eternal lasting joy is through Jesus Christ. I have come to really love sharing the Gospel with others because I know that it is true and is what everyone needs in their life. Even though they may not think that.

Farewells...Reunions and new adventures ahead

Well this week has been crazy because of the transfer this week. Mostly because we where scrambling around on Tuesday trying to pack and visit members and investigators before I left Clearbrook and then we had to travel to the Mission Office to meet our new companions and we didn't have a map to the mission office and Elder Boehmer and I had only been there once so we were using our memory and the spirit to get there on time and we only got lost 3 times but two of them were in Vancouver so that was an experience and not a very fun one but we finally made it there a half hour late but we did make it. I finally got to see Elder Kelly again after 4 months so that was pretty sweet and really fun. I finally got to meet my new companion Elder Bonfield who is from Ontario Canada so I still have a Canadian companion so I am still the only American when we go anywhere.
Anyways, Surrey is very different from my last two areas in that it is a lot bigger than Clearbrook and Kamloops and it’s more of a city with a down town so we do a lot more street contacting especially at a place called Surrey Central where there are thousands of people walking through because there is a mall, university, bus loop and a sky train station so there is a lot of people there and it was really overwhelming the first day we went there but it got better the longer we stayed there.
On Friday we went on an exchange with the Assistants, Elder Englestead and Elder Cottingham. I went with Elder Cottingham and we went to Surrey central for 4 hours just talking to people and it was crazy and very busy. We met a ton of crazy people and a few Jehovah Witnesses, which are always fun to talk to.
Sorry I have to go but our time is cut short because we are emailing on Tuesday so I have to go.
